Fees

Our standard session cost is $234.83 per hour, which is less than the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc recommended rate of $300 per hour.

We offer a reduced fee of $190 per hour for many private clients including those wishing to use Medicare rebates. Our provisional psychologist fee is currently $156 per hour.

We do not offer bulk billing. For NDIS participants, our rates are in line with the NDIS price guide, including travel costs and remote loadings. Additional travel costs may apply for travel to some areas. Please contact us if you have any queries about fees.

We are experienced working with NDIS participants. We are NDIS registered so we can provide services to Self, Plan Managed or Agency participants.

Medicare Rebates

In order to access Medicare rebates for services, a mental health treatment plan (MHTP) must first be completed by a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. With a MHTP, you are eligible to claim 10 Medicare subsidised sessions per calendar year (1st January to 31st December).  This plan allows you to receive Medicare rebates for an initial six sessions, at which time the referring doctor must complete a review with you. Additional sessions (up to total  of 10 per year) can to be rebated through Medicare after further periodic reviews with your GP. After your session, we will send you a paid invoice which you can then submit to Medicare to claim your rebate.

Medicare rebates for psychology sessions are currently $93.35 per hour, please check with Medicare for any changes.

Private Health Insurance Rebates

Clients who are covered by private health insurance funds may be able to claim rebates for services provided by Wheatbelt Psychology. Enquiries regarding cover for psychological services should be directly addressed to your private health insurance fund to check your specific policy coverage. You will pay your session cost upfront and them submit your claim to your health insurance for reimbursement.
